If you want to get better at rope climbing, build big muscles, or pull a car like a strongman this is not for you. It does not provide enough resistance unless you are a very small person. The first time i used it I cranked it to 10 and did 6x60second rounds with 60 second breaks. I am 55 years old and can only do 3-4 pullups....the effort feels like about 80lbs if comparing to a single arm pulldown on a cable weight stack, not 135lbs. So this is more of a conditioning tool....and I think it is great to have something like this to improve endurance in the upperbody....good for a hockey/lacross player more than a strength athlete. someone in that scenario needs a weight sled and a long rope or towel pullups/rope climbs/pulldowns with rope handles Great warmup/finisher. If you are big and strong already, might not be the challenge you hoped for. I did not get this for free! I think the price is pretty fair....it is well made. It is make in isreal. Other products I have made there have been good quality!

I use a rope pull machine at a major gym and love it, I needed something similar at my other home not near any cities, this absolutely filled the void, very versatile, well built, nicely packaged in travel bag, gives me what I need when away from main gym, a bit pricey but didn’t break the bank.
